JOHN H. HAWK EYE JOHNSON JR.
John H. Hawk Eye Johnson Jr. 79, died Sunday, May 6, 2007 at Azalealand Nursing Home. He was a native of Little Rock, Arkansas and grew up in Clyo, Georgia. Mr. Johnson graduated from Clyo High School in 1945, then went to work with the railroad and retired from CSX Railroad after 45 years of service. He was a member of Clayton P. Miller United Methodist Church. Mr. Johnson was an avid fisherman and hunter belonging to various hunting clubs, Iseman Wright, Sure Shot, Cedar Bluff, Jasper Hunting Club, Pope Hunting Club and Okatee Hunting Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Johnson and his sister, Thelma Barton.
Surviving are, his son and daughter-in-law, Jackie and Shelia Johnson of Savannah, a sister, Betty Coursey of Jacksonville, Florida, two grandchildren, Jackie and Jennifer Johnson of Savannah.
Graveside Services will be Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at 2 p.m. in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
